Traveling to WDW sans hubby w/ 4 yo DD, a friend, and her girls. Hubby usually carries our stuff through the park, but it'll just be me this time. Planning to carry one backpack, and definitely need my big camera...what do you recommend I pack for parks?

I can relate, Jessica; my husband is the pack mule during our trips, too.  Luckily, you really don't need to weigh your bag down with too much stuff.  I suggest bringing the following:

    • sunscreen
    • hat
    • sunglasses
    • rain ponchos
    • chapstick
    • a few Band-Aids
    • shammy towels (for wiping down wet seats)
    • baby wipes (for wiping dirty hands)
    • maybe a water bottle or two
    • camera (but you've got that covered)
    • Key to The World Card and ID

Most of the items I take in to the park with me (or in my husband's backpack, as the case may be) are small and lightweight and can easily be packed into a pocket of a bag.

    Have a great trip!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
