We are traveling to WDW next year with my parents. Our favorite places to eat book up fast. With that said we are unsure if my parents will be able to last all days at the park. What happens if only 5 of the 7 people on the reservation show up?

Hi Kelly! Your Disney Dining reservations are indeed an important part of your Disney vacation. I know my own family has many favorites that are "must go" to places and they would be disappointed if we didn't get reservations for them.

Many times guests must back out of a dining time for one reason or another. It is always best to book for the entire group as it is easy to have fewer guests show up then trying to add more later. When you get to the restaurant and check in simply let them know there will be fewer people then originally booked. You will not be charged for those missing so don't worry about that as long as at least one person shows for the booked time.

It might be an idea to suggest your parents leave mid day and then return for dining later on so you can all be together and so they too can have a good meal at a favorite restaurant. Even without park hopper options you can come and go from the same park as many times on the same day as you wish.
