We are traveling to WDW next year for the first time as a family. the kids will be 7, 4, & 1 1/2. Are we allowed to have one adult with two kids on any ride while the other adult is with one? We both want to be able to experience the rides with our ki

    Hi Kelly,

Sure thing!  We have four children in our family and quite often one of them isn't able or does not wish to board an attraction.  In these instances one parent takes three children on a ride while the other parent has some fun nearby with the remaining child.  The Cast Members who seat Guests on attractions will ask how many is in your party and give instructions for how to board.  Many rides are able to accommodate 3 people across, however if the ride has seats which accommodate only 2 across, or even in tandem, then I suggest for you to place your children in the seat(s) in front of you.

You mentioned that both parents want to experience the rides with your children.  With Disney's Rider Switch Service parents can take turns waiting with a non-rider and then board the ride without having to go through the standby queue again.  Follow the previous link to learn more about this great service.  Since ride procedures do change from time to time, be sure to read the printed information on your Rider Switch pass.  Currently Guests may use the Rider Switch pass at any time during the day in which it was issued.  Additionally on my recent visit to Walt Disney World, our Rider Switch passes allowed the returning adult Guest to bring two additional Guests with them.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question Kelly.  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, we are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
