hi! i will be traveling to wdw next week. i have a colostomy, epilepsy, migraines and arthritis. any suggestions on keeping my colostomy "cool" - i will need to keep them with me. do i need a dr's. note to get the card? thanks!

Hi Leslie!  It is nice to see that you are trying to get out and about and plan a trip to Walt Disney World! I am sure it is not always easy so hopefully you can have a magical time.

First of all since you have several medical issues that you are faced with I suggest you consult your physician(s) so get their advice on how to handle it all. I am sure they will understand the diverse nature of the Disney parks and can offer a plan so you are comfortable and safe.

The Guest Assistance Cards are offered to all guests who have "invisible" issues and a doctor's note is not required.  Please understand that getting a card does not give you automatic advancement to the front of the line. What it will offer is for you to perhaps wait in an alternate line that will be more comfortable.  In the past many guests thought this was a fast way to go through attractions and perhaps abused the system as they have revamped it and have much more strict rules concerning the Guest Assistance Cards to be fair to all guests. If you would like to experience an attraction that offers the Fast Pass please get one for you and everyone in your party. This will allow you to use the alternate entrance and also go through quickly similar to the regular guest lines.

Hope this helps and hope you have a magical vacation!
