We are traveling to WDW with our 13-month-old. We are booked for a savannah view room at AKL. However, I am starting to worry about what we will do when the baby naps and goes to bed early. Should we move to a one-bedroom Villa for kitchen & living roo

    Hi Jaime!

If you envision spending a lot of time in your room, then yes, you may want to look at upgrading to deluxe or perhaps one of the villas.

A few years ago, we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge also with a Savannah View. Although the view was exquisite, the room itself was small and a little cramped. It actually was a good thing, because it forced us to stay on-the-go or checking out the resort amenities (took the trip with our then 3-year old daughter).

Perhaps you may consider bringing a good stroller, so that when they need to sleep, you won't feel like you have to be locked in that room the whole time :-)

Otherwise, if you can fit it in your budget, you may look for something bigger than standard.

    Have a great time!
