    I am traveling to WDW in May. Do you know if the water parks will open back up? I want to buy my tickets early and do not want to pay for the water parks if they are not open.

    Hello Jessica! Welcome to planDisney! I am so glad you’re asking about the Disney Water Parks! I hadn’t visited either of the water parks for a few years. Then, I visited Disney’s Blizzard Beach with a few of my planDisney friends last spring. As soon as I got home, I booked tickets for my family to visit during our August family vacation! A strong case can be made that Summit Plummet is absolutely the most thrilling attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Disney’s Blizzard Beach is currently open for Guests to enjoy! Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is not open at this time. However, there are rumors that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon may be reopening within the next few months. The Walt Disney World Resort has not made any official announcements regarding the reopening of that water park, but Guests can check updates on both the Walt Disney World Resort website, as well as on the Disney Parks Blog.

    At the end of our August visit, I asked my sons (16, 16, and 12) what was the highlight of our vacation. All three, without hesitation, said “Blizzard Beach!” You are going to have such a fun time visiting this water park!
