We will be traveling to WDW late June and I am wondering what resort would be the best experience for a 5 yr old? We are considering the Polynesian or AKL. I know the Poly has great views of MK but my daughter loves animals! What would you recommend?

    Hi Amanda,

Let me just say that I wish I was deciding between these two resorts.  Both are amazing, and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time wherever you decide to stay.

If your 5 year old truly loves animals as much as you say she does, then Animal Kingdom Lodge will be a great option.  If you can splurge for a room with a savanna view, I highly recommend doing it.  There is nothing quite like waking up to see zebra, giraffes or other wildlife right outside your room in the morning!

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
