Hi Victor, welcome to planDisney!
My favorite number is 13 and it would be a pleasure helping you strategize for your party of 13's upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. There are two attractions at Walt Disney World Resort that can post a 13-minute wait time:
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios and the
Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom Park. The good news is a posted wait time of 13 minutes for these attractions means there is actually no wait. See, I told you 13 was a lucky number!
Disney Genie+ service maximizes the magic during your park days by giving you access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. You can purchase Disney Genie+ service via the Tip Board of your
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right --> Tip Board) for anyone that appears on your
Family & Friends List with valid admission and a
theme park reservation linked to their account. You can purchase Genie+ after midnight each park day for up to 12 Guests at a time. To purchase for your party of 13, you can ask another person in your party with a My Disney Experience account and the My Disney Experience mobile app to make the purchase for a portion of the group, or you can purchase for your entire group in two transactions. I recommend purchasing for everyone by 6:45 a.m. so you can book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m. on the dot.
The rule of 12 applies to booking Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions, as well, which is why I highly recommend appointing a Genie+ helper to assist with the booking process for your party of 13. If you try to book for everyone in two groups, there's a chance you won't be able to book the same arrival window for everyone, especially for attractions that run out of arrival times quickly like
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
Before booking Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions, make sure your Genie+ helper is connected to everyone in your party as
Family & Friends. Decide ahead of time who is booking for which individuals in your group. I also recommend being in close proximity when you make a Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation. This allows you to scroll through attractions together and select arrival windows that match. It's ok if the final arrival windows aren't an exact match, as long as they overlap you will be able to experience the attraction together.
If you and your Genie+ helper book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m., you can book the next one as soon as you've tapped in at your first attraction or at the time listed on your Tip Board banner.
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with such an important question, Victor. Your lucky 13 are going to have so much fun experiencing attractions together. Please don't hesitate to
reach out with any follow-up questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
