We are traveling to WDW in June just after my hubbys birthday. I’m trying to figure out a special way to celebrate that’s not telling restaurants it’s a birthday, live music or dancing. Any suggestions?

    Hiya Patricia!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending us your question and making us part of your magical celebration! Going to the Walt Disney World Resort is an especially magical way to celebrate your birthday, and I know that you are going to make memories that will last a lifetime. As I got to celebrate my birthday at Walt Disney World for the very first time last year, I am so excited to be helping you today!

There are so many ways to make someone's birthday extra special on your Walt Disney World vacation. Since you mentioned that you were looking for something outside of restaurants and entertainment, a more private way to celebrate is by having decorations such as balloons, gift baskets or flowers delivered to your Resort hotel room. Indeed, Disney Floral and Gifts has a plethora of decorations for every occasion and preference that are sure to make your husband's birthday extra special. Deliveries are available seven days a week and you can either place an order online or create the perfect package for your celebration on the phone with a Dream Maker. A second way to celebrate that is more private and relaxing would be to book a massage for two at The Grand Floridian Spa, which just recently reopened! Massages can be booked online and you can contact a Cast Member at (407) 824-3039 for any questions about the spa services. After your massages, you could book a fireworks cruise for Disney Enchantment or Harmonious and enjoy the best seats in the house away from the crowds of the parks. Plus, birthday banners and decorations are included in the price, so you can make your boat extra festive for the occasion. Lastly, if your husband has a sweet tooth, I cannot recommend Amorette's Patisserie enough! If you plan on stopping by Disney Springs, you can pre-order and pick up unique and Disney-inspired desserts that are sure to make their day even sweeter!

I hope this was helpful, Patricia, and that your and your husband have the best day ever celebrating his birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you would like more ideas for birthday activities, I would highly recommend looking through my fellow panelists' recommendations and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions.

    Have a magical day,
