We are traveling to WDW July 8 and staying a resort. We noticed the calendar for June 9 at Magic Kingdom says "Special Ticketed Event" 10:00pm-1:00am. Is this the magic hours?

    Hi Paula!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for a magical vacation to enjoy this year's 'Incredible Summer' at Walt Disney World Resort! You asked about June 9, but based on your arrival at Walt Disney World Resort and the Magic Kingdom calendar, I believe you are asking about the Special Ticket Event at Magic Kingdom on July 9.

Magic Kingdom will be closed to standard theme park Guests from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. for Disney After Hours. This specially ticketed event will allow Guests to enjoy many of the most popular attractions and Character experiences at Magic Kingdom without having to worry about wait time! Tickets for this event are separate from standard theme park tickets and there are a limited number of tickets available each night, so this is a great opportunity for Guests to enjoy the theme park without crowds. Plus, your ticket includes complimentary ice cream and beverages during your evening!

Extra Magic Hours is a separate program where Disney Resort hotel Guests, as well as Guests of the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels and other select hotels, can enjoy extra time at a select theme park before or after its standard operating hours. The schedule for Extra Magic Hours can be found on the daily theme park hours schedule.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you count down the final sleeps until your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
