We will be traveling to WDW in July or August of 2011. I am considering the Polynesian Resort. My husband and I will be bringing our 3 kids ages 7-9. Is this resort one for adults and children or do you recommend another? Thank you!

    Hi Melissa,

The Polynesian Resort is near and dear to my heart, I have had many memorable experiences at this resort as a child and still love it to this day as an adult.  If you are not on a strict budget, I recommend the Polynesian as my top family (and adult) resort over any other.  Although most of the resorts at WDW are family friendly and most offer childrens activities from the "Value" category up through to the "Deluxe" category, there are so many other benefits of this resort.  Your location is key here to get easy and quick access via the Monorail (or scenic boat ride) to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, there are water craft rentals available on-site (some other WDW resorts offer this as well), I especially love the hawaiian theme there (very tranquil and soothing atmosphere to be in....total relaxation is imminent), and many different dining options are available here right on-site.

I have found in particular that my daughter favors this resort over all others because it is kid friendly, right from the cool volcano pool, kids activities throughout the day, a private beach where she can play in the sand to one of the best fireworks viewing places without having to stand amidst a whole crowd of people.  Need I say anymore?  Have a Daiquiri, sit on the beach, enjoy the sun and listen to the hawaiian music and then head over to the parks for some "play time"......everyone in your family will love it, guaranteed!

    Aloha,
