    W are traveling to WDW in January 2018, and our 9 almost 10 year old eats more than a kid would eat. If I get a dining plan does my 9 yr old have to eat off the kids menu?

    Hi, Angela!

    When on the Disney Dining Plan, kids ages 3-9 must order off the kids menu at Table Service locations. At Quick Service locations, kids ages 3-9 can order from either the adult OR kids menu.

    Since your child is a big eater, I suggest selecting buffets or all-you-care-to-eat family style dining. This way, your child can eat as much as desired, plus this is a great way to try some new food items. OK, and I will admit it, I enjoy some of the selections on the kids' buffet - I simply cannot resist Mickey's mac and cheese!

    Some of my favorite locations for buffets/family style dining:

    -Whispering Canyon Café at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort - order the Canyon Skillet
    -Crystal Palace (buffet) at the Magic Kingdom
    -Cape May Café (buffet) at Disney's Beach Club Resort
    -Boma Flavors of Africa (buffet) at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
    -Hollywood & Vine (buffet) at Disney's Hollywood Studios

    Make sure to make your dining reservations for any table service/buffet location. You can book up to 180 days in advance online or by calling (407)WDW-DINE.
