Hi JaDee,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for coming to us with your question. I LOVE that you are surprising your nieces and nephew with a trip to Walt Disney World. Best Aunt Ever! Adopt me?
You and the little Mouseketeers are going to have so much delicious fun on the Disney Dining Plan! All those snack credits mean you can, as Gazelle sings in Zootopia, “try everything!” JaDee, I’m not sure which tier of the
Disney Dining Plan you will have, so please take a look at the details for each tier on the Walt Disney World website. This year’s Disney Dining Plan includes expanded beverage options, so be sure to read up on those!
The kids’ meals and Mickey Check meals typically include a bottle of water or small bottle of milk or chocolate milk. When dining at a resort Quick-Service location, you are able to pick up that beverage and use your refillable mug to get a fountain soda. Because the answer varies by location in the theme parks, be sure to ask your server if a fountain drink is an option with the kids’ meals. You’ll find free iced tap water at most Quick-Service locations and can certainly request it while dining at Table Service location. If you’d like bottled water in addition to a soda or specialty drink, you could get a bottle and charge it as a snack entitlement on your Disney Dining Plan, though I don’t recommend this, as higher-priced snacks will give you a better value on the dining plan. We usually buy a few large jugs of bottled water for our room and then pour it into water bottles for the theme parks.
JaDee, enjoy your Best Aunt Ever status and have a fabulous time together on your vacation. Don’t forget to pick up celebration buttons for everyone at Guest Services, and take lots of silly photos to capture every minute of the fun!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
