We are traveling to WDW in a few weeks and have the Quick Service Dining Plan. In the past we could substitute beverages for a snack with your meal. With the plan changes, adding in alcohol and specialty drinks, are we still able to do this?

    Hi Alison,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How exciting that it is almost time for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I am positive you will have the time of your life!

The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan offers guests 2 Quick-Service Meals and 2 Snacks per night of your stay at Walt Disney World Resort.  Technically, the Quick-Service Meal includes one entree and one beverage, however when I visited earlier this year, the Cast Members still allowed my family and I to choose a dessert instead of a beverage.  This would totally be up to the Cast Member's discretion, as the plan actually includes the beverage and not the dessert.  When you arrive at the Quick-Service Dining Location, simply ask the Cast Member if it would be possible to substitute a dessert or snack for your beverage selection for your Quick Service Meal.  If not, you still have two snack credits to use per night, which could be used in addition to your Quick-Service Meal.

Did you know that guests are able to pre-order meals at select Dining Locations throughout the four Theme Parks using Mobile Ordering?  This service is new and can be found on the My Disney Experience App.  This is such a time saver, all you need to do is login to see which Dining Locations offer the service, place your order from anywhere in the Theme Park and then pick up your selections at a clearly marked location at the Quick-Service Dining Location.  You are now able to completely skip the lines and enjoy more time in the Theme Parks!

I hope you have a magical visit at Walt Disney World Resort, Alison.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
