Hi, Traveling to WDW in Feb '12. Can you suggest a charater dining place for vegeterian family? My son's fav character is Mickey. Also could you suggest quick/table dining places for vegeterians in each of the 4 parks and downtown disney? Thanks!

    Hi Yogeeta,

I can honestly say that nearly every single restaurant at Walt Disney World has amazing options for vegetarians.  I was a vegetarian for many years and never had any troubles at WDW, even when I was a vegan.  So truly, you should be able to eat at almost any of the restaurants without any concerns.  To help with some suggestions, here are some of my favorites:

Character Dining with Mickey: Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom and/or Chef Mickey's at the        Contemporary Resort
Magic Kingdom Restaurants:  Columbia Harbour House (CS) and Liberty Tree Tavern/lunch menu(TS)
Epcot:  San Angel Inn (TS) and/or Via Napoli (TS) and Sunshine Seasons (TS)
Disney's Hollywood Studios:  Brown Derby (TS) and Sci-Fi Dine-In (TS) and Backlot Express (CS)
Disney's Animal Kingdom:  Yak and Yeti (TS) and Pizzafari (TS)
*TS is table service; CS is counter service

I have to also mention Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge as a favorite! When you make your dining reservations, do include a notation that you are dining as vegetarians. It also doesn't hurt to remind your server, too.

If you visit www.disneyfoodblog.com and search for "vegetarian," you'll be able to see a great wealth of information that should be helpful.
