Hi Patricia,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sounds like your husband has sprinted ahead in the Husband of the Year competition!
With little ones, I like activities at the resort. At each Walt Disney World Resort we have visited, our girls have loved the activities by the pool. Several of the resorts have
Playgrounds for little ones. On our most recent visit, we stayed at Disney's BoardWalk Villas and I took note of some of the resort activities. They had poolside activities from 12:00 noon - 2:30 p.m., a design your own stencil backpack activity and a Mickey Tie-Dye on the BoardWalk activity on the Monday of our visit. On other days, they had different activities. Although some activities had an additional fee, there were several options for each day of our visit. I suggest checking your resort for activities that your husband and older son can do with the baby. Since they will be so close, they can return to the room in case someone needs a nap!
We also love staying at Disney's BoardWalk Villas because we just enjoy walking along the
BoardWalk. This is one of our favorite non-theme park areas. On our last visit, we had lunch at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. They also have great ice cream. Most of all, we really enjoyed just watching everyone running, walking or biking along the BoardWalk. It would be a great place for your husband to take the little ones for a stroll. The BoardWalk is also within walking distance to a
Disney Skyliner station. We took the Skyliner to dine at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera for breakfast with Mickey and friends. It was a short but amazing ride and the character dining experience at breakfast was wonderful.
One of my favorite resorts is
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Your husband could take the boys to enjoy breakfast at Boma - Flavors of Africa and then head out back to view some of the animals on the savanna.
Patricia, it seems as if your husband is a wonderful planner so I trust that they will find some fun while you relax! Enjoy every minute of it.
Magic and Memories,
Donyell
