We are traveling to WDW on Dec. 7-15, 2009. Our flight arrives at ORL airport at 2:20pm. Taking magical express to POFQ. We have dinner reservations at Cap'n Jacks in DD at 5pm. Is this enough time to get from POFR to DD for our reservations?

    Hi there Carissa!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip!  The parks will be all "decked out" for the holidays when you arrive, ready to welcome your family with a sea of lights, trees and garland!

Cap n' Jack's is a great venue to kick off your Disney vacation, however, I would recommend pushing your reservation back a bit to ensure you make it in time, and don't feel rushed.  The folks at Magical Express estimate that it can take up to two hours from the time you check in at the podium at the airport to the time you arrive at your resort.  This is a conservative estimate in my opinion, however, as someone who arrives via the New York Metro area, I can say that flight delays are, unfortunately, not uncommon.  Even if your flight arrives on time and you catch Magical Express quickly, you will still need to check in at your resort, drop off any carry-on items you have, catch a bus to Downtown Disney and then walk to the restaurant.  I would allow for approximately 45 minutes to an hour to from the time you are ready to catch a bus Downtown from Port Orleans to arrive at Cap n' Jacks.

While it is possible for your to make your reservation, I would suggest trying to move it to 5:30 or 6:00 pm to allow for some extra breathing room!  If you end up being a bit early, there are plenty of shops Downtown that will help you pass the time!

Have a wonderful dinner and magical vacation!
