    Traveling to WDW 9/19-9/26. DH, DD7 and DD5. Kids are used to getting 10.5 to 11 hours of sleep. How do you suggest juggling their sleep needs with seeing fireworks, hitting the parks for MEMH etc? Also, do you find the excitement makes up for sleep? Thx.

    I understand exactly where you are coming from!  My kids are very good sleepers, and I am well aware of how dependent their behavior is on a good nights sleep!  Personally, I think one of the beauties of visiting Walt Disney World in September is that you can get a lot more done in the daytime hours due to the low crowd levels.  Typically we find that with the short wait times and low crowds we can get our favorite things done early on, and then the rest of our day is flexible.

    The other nice thing, in my opinion, about visiting the parks in September is that due to the lower crowd levels, the parks tend to close earlier in the evening.  This forces us home at a reasonable hour, and a good night sleep is attainable. 

    Now I will tell you that on each trip we usually spend at least one "late night" at the Magic Kingdom.  I have found that we rest in the afternoon before heading out for the Extra Magic Hour fun.  By doing this only one of our evenings, the kids hold up really, really well and we have a lot of fun!  Often we wind up punchy and giddy and have a lot of good laughs.  This is always our night to take in the fireworks and Spectromagic Parade, and we always plan on sleeping in a little bit the next day.
