Hi, we are traveling to WDW for 9 days in Aug, and have the DDP, my cousin is traveling with us but she needs to return before our check out day, does she have to buy the DDP for the whole trip or can she just buy for the days she will be stayin? Thanks

    Hi, Clara!

You've got a fabulous, long Walt Disney World vacation coming up! How exciting!

When you have a package reservation and you add any of the Disney Dining Plans to it, you are required to add it to each member of your party for the same number of nights as your Resort hotel room reservation.

The best part is that the dining entitlements are added together to your package and they are not assigned to each person individually. What you could do in your case is try out a couple of the Signature restaurants that require 2 entitlements per person as payment in order to make the best use out of the plan. The Signature restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort are absolutely fantastic. My family's favorite Signature restaurant is Narcoossee's located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The food is just fantastic and the view is awesome too.

If you choose not to dine at the Signature restaurants by the time your cousin has to leave, her dining entitlements will still be on your reservation and will not expire until midnight the day you check out. So, you'd be able to continue using her remaining entitlements for the duration of your vacation.

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel, Clara, and I sure hope this helps!

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
