Hi Amanda, thanks for bringing your important question to planDisney!
Walt Disney World Resort takes great care in
accommodating the dietary needs of Guests who require specialty diets. When you’re booking advance dining reservations, before confirming your reservation you will be asked if there are any special dietary requests. The choices listed on this page are common allergens like eggs, nuts, and shellfish.
For your child’s Phenylketonuria diet, you’ll want to consult the
Special Diets Team by emailing Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com no earlier than 14 days before your arrival. You can still make your
advance dining reservations 60 days before your visit. When you speak to the Special Diets team, the special diets-trained Cast Members will assist you in finding meal selections that fit your child’s dietary needs.
When it comes to Quick Service dining, you can also speak to the Special Diets Team regarding the best options that meet your child’s diet guidelines. If you are visiting a Quick Service dining location while you are in the theme parks, before ordering you may
ask to speak to a special diets-trained Cast Member. This may require an additional wait, so take that into account when you arrive at the Quick Service location.
It is always recommended to
notify the Cast Member of your dietary restrictions at the dining location when you check in for your reservation. Even if you previously noted your dietary requests, it serves as an extra reminder to the Cast Member preparing your meal.
You are also welcome to bring your own food into the theme parks, however,
it cannot be stored, prepared, or reheated by Cast Members.
I hope this was helpful, Amanda. Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any future questions, you can
visit me again at planDisney!
