I am traveling to WDW, AOA Nov 1-8 with my 2 and 4 year old (first timers) , plus grandparents, plus great grandparents. What type of clothes should we pack and is there anything special going on that I may not be aware of for this family reunion?

    Hi Jeanette,

It sounds like you have a great trip planned with a large group!

In November, the high temperatures in Orlando are about 79 degrees Fahrenheit. Since you are traveling at the beginning of the month, I would think they would be in the low 80's. My suggestion for this type of weather is to take a little bit of everything. Some shorts and some long pants, and short sleeve shirts. Be sure to pack a light jacket or sweatshirt for everyone, especially for evenings. Do not forget rain gear as there may be showers, and of course, good walking shoes are a must! With little ones, and the fact that you are staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort with the Big Blue Pool and other exciting pools, I think you are going to need to bring swimsuits! Do not fret, though, the pools are heated so you should be warm in them.

As to special events early in November, you will be at Walt Disney World for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This amazing event occurs in Epcot, where World Showcase is filled with food booths representing many different countries. Small portions of international cuisine are offered for sale. You might find that it is a great way to expose your little ones to new flavors, or it might be an event for some of the adults in your party to peruse. There are many offerings, such as wine seminars and culinary demonstrations, as well as Eat to the Beat Concerts at night. Be sure to check out the link I provided to get information on this great festival. Please note that while some parts of the festival are included with park admission, others incur an additional cost.

I would love to help you plan more Jeanette; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have further questions!
