We are traveling to Walt Disneyworld February 18-24, 2011. We will have a 6month old and a 5 year old. Can we take the 6month old on any rides without a height restriction? Also we are staying at Saratoga Springs Villa. Anything you can tell us about that

    Hi Irene,

We brought our youngest daughter on her first Disney vacation when she was 3 months old. I held her on many of the slow moving attractions that did not have a height restriction. You'll find that there are several rides in each Park that you can bring your baby on with you. Magic Kingdom will have the most (in Fantasyland), but each Park does have attractions that you can hold your infant on your lap.

Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a fantastic choice. You'll be in close walking distance to Downtown Disney. In addition, the main pool is great...your 5 year old is sure to love the slide. Our favorite location to stay in at Saratoga Springs is an area called "Congress Park". Many of the rooms have views of Downtown Disney. In addition, they are just a short walk from the Carriage House area. I believe it  takes us about 5-7 minutes (leisurely pushing a stroller) to get to the Carriage House which houses the check-in, High Rock Spring (main) Pool, Spa and Fitness Center, boat dock, restaurants and more. Congress Park also has a pedestrian walkway to Downtown Disney and a great pool of its own. To request Congress Park, you'll want to call Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa directly at: 407-827-1100 nine days prior to your arrival. That is when the Resorts get their arrival lists, so they can't help you prior to that. When you call, ask to speak with the "Room Assigner". You'll provide him/her with your reservation information and tell them that you would like to be assigned to Congress Park. Be sure to ask again at check-in. With a little luck and pixie dust...you should be all set. Please note that while room requests are never guaranteed, Disney does do their best to honor them.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation with your family. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
