We are traveling to Walt Disney World in February with 4 boys (ages 11, 9, twins 4). Our twins are big fans of Buzz Lightyear and Lightning McQueen. Is there anyway to know ahead of time where to see and meet these characters?

I'm a big Buzz fan and you will be happy to know he is pretty easy to find.  The last time I was in WDW, we got to see Buzz in Magic Kingdom and in Hollywood Studios.  Since the characters schedules are always subject to change, they do not provide much information before hand.  The characters making appearances almost always have a handler with them.  This is a castmember dressed in a yellow and white shirt.  Those folks normally know off the top of heads where and when a character is appearing that day.

Now for the bad news.  When I was there last, Lighten McQueen was only available for a short period of time for meet and greets.  The line was insane and it was the off-season.  If your twins really want to see him, grab a showtime schedule when you enter Hollywood Studios.  On the back it gives you all the character appearances and times.  I would get there at least a half hour before.

Meet the Panelist: Michelle, New Jersey

I have been fortunate enough to be on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel since 2008.  As a Disney World enthusiast, I can’t imagine a greater opportunity.  My husband, our 6-year-old daughter, and I visit WDW a few times a year.
