Traveling w/almost 3 yr old Jan 12-17 2015. Going to MK 1/13 for 9am opening. Got 4:05pm res at BOG, leaving park after, but concerned not enough time for mid-day brk w/LO. Hate to cancel res bc so hard to get. Any suggestions? Don't want a meltdown!

    Hello Jaime!

Here is a question for you.  Have you considered taking that midday break and extending your visit to Magic Kingdom Park after your dining reservation at Be Our Guest?  That would be my first recommendation.  Having traveled with three toddlers myself, I can understand the necessity of taking a break during the day.  If that option is not in the cards for you, and going back to your resort is not possible, here are some other ideas...
    • Take a couple of loops on the Disney Monorail line.  Maybe your 3 year old will find it relaxing and take a snooze!
    • Hop a ride on the Walt DIsney World Railroad.  You can stay on as long as you like.
    • Head over to the (air conditioned) Baby Care Center in Magic Kingdom.  Inside, you will find some private rooms and some seating.

I have also found that preparation is key in preventing those unpleasant meltdowns!  Be sure your little one got a good long sleep the night before.  Although it may be tempting to stay up late the night before, you may regret it the next day. I can't stress this piece of advice enough.  Above all, have fun and go with the flow as much as possible.   Oh, and I would keep that BOG reservation! ;)

I wish you a truly magical vacation.
