Jessica from NJ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I will be traveling with our two-year-old for our first Disney trip. I know her entrance to the parks are free. But if we were to get the lightning pass, do we have to pay for one for her? Also, are there any free dining options for guest two and under.

    Hi Jessica. Welcome to planDisney!

I am truly smiling from Mickey ear to Mickey ear on my side of the computer! I can't decide what makes me happier: that your little one is going to The Most Magical Place on Earth or that it's her very first visit. This is SO SPECIAL!

I am a Gigi to a granddaughter who just turned three years old. In June, while she was still two, we took her on one last Disney trip while she was still a "Guest of Mickey." Get ready to cheer, "Hot Diggity Dog!" I have some mouse-terific news to share! Little Mouseketeers who are two years old and younger do not need a theme park ticket and are not required to purchase Lightning Lane Passes. YAY! Your little one will be able to enter the Lightning Lane queue with you with no issues.

I have more good news! Your toddler will also be welcome to dine at no charge at "all-you-care-to-enjoy" dining locations, including character meals. So, if meeting Mickey and his pals at Chef Mickey's or hanging out with Stitch at 'Ohana is on your must-do list, your two-year-old daughter will not be charged. Just remember to include her in your party total when making your reservation so she will have a reserved seat. Additionally, you can visit table-service restaurants, and as long as your little one shares from your plate, there will be no charge.

Before I sign off, I'd like to leave you with some other helpful links. There is a great page on the Walt Disney World website dedicated to helping plan for trips with toddlers. You'll find information about Baby Care Centers, Rider Switch, and where to find characters. My planDisney pals, Jenn and Greg, recently made a video about renting a stroller. I'm adding their video to this answer. Also, because this is your first trip, I'm adding a link to a video about Early Morning Entry that my friend Wes and I made, which may help as you plan your schedule.

I know I provided you with a lot of information, but I hope it all helps with your planning. Jessica, I hope you'll have the most wonderful time. I'm wishing for your daughter Mickey Mouse hugs, smiles from Minnie, and for all her wishes to come true. It's been my pleasure to meet you!

    Oh, toodles!
