Hey there, Dana! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad you stopped by to ask us about traveling with little ones. My son has been visiting Walt Disney World since he was 8 months old, so I'm happy to help you plan a great time with your mini-Mouseketeers.
There are so many attractions at Walt Disney World that are just right for the pre-school set. I think Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park is a perfect place to start. A few to check out are Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, Peter Pan's Flight and It's a Small World (bet the grandparents will love that one, too!). At Disney's Hollywood Studios, they can sing and dance with their pals at Disney Junior Live on Stage, while Epcot is home to The Seas with Nemo and Friends. What you're looking for is any attraction that doesn't have a height requirement. Here's a list that can help you narrow it down.
When it's time to eat, Character Dining experiences are always fun. One of our favorites is Chef Mickey's, an amazing buffet where you can meet Mickey and his friends all dressed up in their chef's attire. It's fun for the little kids, and the big kids, too! We also love Rainforest Cafe - there are two of them, one at Disney's Animal Kingdom and one at Downtown Disney. The "animals" come to life all around you, and rainstorm effects make for a fun atmosphere.
There are tons more ideas you can check out on the Preschoolers page on Disney's website.
Dana, I just know your whole family will have a great time making new memories at Walt Disney World. I wish you a magical vacation!
