Hi Nancy,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My son was a toddler on our family’s first Walt Disney World vacation, and I have such wonderful memories of his sweet little toddler self taking in all the magic.
How exciting that you will be staying in a 3-bedroom Grand Villa! The Villas make so much sense when traveling with littles, because they just make life easy. A kitchen full of snacks and kiddo-friendly options, plentiful bathrooms for tub time, and space to spread out and set up cribs for napping and hanging out? Just perfect.
Nancy, I believe there are a limited number of baby gates available upon request from Mousekeeping. My advice is to call the Walt Disney World Reservations line at (407) 939-1936 and ask to add a request for baby gates to your existing reservation. The Cast Member who answers your call should be able to provide some information for you about the baby gate availability. I would also give the resort a call the morning you’re planning to check in to be sure they have the request on file; this will increase your chances of having a baby gate in your room when you arrive.
Please keep in mind that such requests cannot be guaranteed, so if you want to be absolutely sure you have a baby gate you may want to bring your own (if you’re driving) or look into renting one from one of the
Disney-featured providers of stroller and other baby-care rentals.
Enjoy every minute of your vacation, Nancy. Be sure to get that classic photo of your under-threes enjoying their first Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
