Hi there, Monica!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I know you are eagerly awaiting your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. I can promise you that you will have an amazing time traveling with your daughter. I love experiencing the magic through my young boys’ eyes! It really makes it special for everyone!
When you check in at the port for Embarkation Day, each Guest traveling will receive a Key To The World Card which will serve many purposes on board. For a young child, its main purpose will be used to leave and re-enter the ship at ports of call. When we travel, my husband or I typically keep our little’s Key To The World card in our lanyard pocket along with ours so we don’t misplace it and that we have it when needed. Like you, I don’t trust mine with holding on to…and I don’t want to spend time getting a lost one reissued!
If you have registered her for the
“it’s a small world” nursery!, then you will receive a wristband. Again, these are typically not required to be worn, but we attached it to their backpack or bag that we took with them to the nursery when we dropped them off. The wristband will check her in and out of the nursery (along with parent’s Key To The World card and secret password). You can register her prior to your sailing or you can do it on the ship. I recommend doing it prior so that you can secure some nursery hours. We liked to use the nursery for nap time – it ensured they got a nap and we got to enjoy the adult areas of the ship!
As you continue to plan for your adventure at sea, please come back with any additional questions!
Happy Sailing!
