We are traveling with two 2 y/o and two 4 y/o. Would they really enjoy Mickey's Christmas Party enough to justify the extra money? We will do the light show at HS and do all the other firework shows and parades. Is another day in a park a better choice?

    Hi Kay!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a fabulous event with special shows, a special parade, and a special fireworks show.  There's also free cookies and hot chocolate at select locations in the Magic Kingdom.  It's a lot of fun, but it does require a separate party ticket.

My advice is to skip the party, because you do have to buy a separate ticket, and you are already worried about your 2 year old and 4 year old.  The big issue is can they stay up late enough to enjoy the party? Also, a lot of young children don't like the fireworks in general because they are too loud, so it may not matter to you that there will be special fireworks at the party, because you won't watch them anyways.  The party doesn't start until 7:00 pm and the parade and fireworks show are much later than that.  Thus, while I personally love the party, I recommend not doing it if you think your children won't be able to stay up until at least 10pm in the Magic Kingdom.  That's pretty late for very young guests.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
