I am traveling with my two kids (4 years old and 12 years old). The oldest one has a disability (right arm/hand). Doubts: a) Considering the disability, are we eligible to preferred rooms in the hotels? What about preferred parking in the parks? Many tks

    Oi, Gustavo!

Welcome to planDisney! It is always a magical day when I have the opportunity to answer a question coming from a fellow Brazilian! We are thrilled to help you plan a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I am delighted to hear that you are considering staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel! Your children will love staying right in the middle of the magic. In addition, your family will enjoy benefits including complimentary transportation, early theme park entry, proximity to the theme parks, and more! As the mother of two girls, I highly recommend checking out Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort. These are some of my family’s favorite Disney Resort hotels.

The Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most inclusive travel destinations I have ever visited. Cast Members go above and beyond to accommodate Guests with disabilities and make them feel included. Disney Resort hotels also offer helpful services and access options for Guests with disabilities, including wheelchair-accessible rooms and hearing-accessible rooms. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you believe you may need an accessible room, be sure to plan ahead.

All Guests are welcome to book preferred rooms at Disney Resort hotels. These rooms are typically located closer to the Front Desk, main pool, and dining and transportation options. Accessible rooms are available in both the preferred and standard categories, so depending on which resort you wish to book and availability during the dates of your visit, you will be able to select the accommodation type that is best for your family. You may decide to book a preferred or standard room only or a preferred or standard accessible room. Designated parking areas are available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort for Guests with disabilities. Please note that a valid disability parking permit is required.

I hope this information is helpful, Gustavo. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, and check out planDisney in Portuguese, where you can submit questions in our beautiful language!

    Best magical wishes,
