Hello, Christopher!
Welcome to planDisney. I am very excited that you are sailing on the
Disney Treasure! Coco is one of my favorite Disney movies, and Plaza de Coco looks like so much fun! My family also loves Moana, and we cannot wait to check out the new show,
Disney The Tale of Moana.
Disney Gift Cards can be used for most onboard purchases, including merchandise, specialty drinks, and more. Disney Cruises typically operate on a cashless system where purchases are charged to your stateroom folio. I recommend using your Disney Gift Card to purchase Onboard Credit before your cruise. Any charges made during your sailing will be deducted from your Onboard Credit before using your credit card. If you are lucky enough to have unspent funds at the end of your cruise, the funds will be refunded to the original form of payment. This is why it is a good idea to keep your Disney Gift Card, just in case a refund is applied!
Onboard Credit can be purchased on the
Disney Cruise Line website after logging into your account. Under "Already Booked," choose "Onboard Gifts." Enter your reservation number and under "Shop by Category," select "Onboard Credit." Enter your Disney Gift Card information, and you are ready to go! If you don't want to purchase Onboard Credit ahead of time, you can stop by Guest Services on the ship to apply the Disney Gift Cards to your folio. For multiple Disney Gift Cards, I suggest combining them into one gift card (up to $1,000) on the
Disney Gift Card website. It makes it easier to keep track of the remaining balance.
Christopher, I hope your Disney Cruise is filled with fun and laughter! We hope to see you real soon!
Happy sailing!
Jen
