    We are traveling with three grandchildren. We have gotten Disney gift cards to as gifts. Is there a way to transfer the balance to their magic bands so I do not have to carry the cards with me?

    Hi Ruth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I think it is so wonderful that you will be experiencing the Walt Disney World Resort with your three grandchildren. I know myself that I have such vivid and wonderful memories from when I was a kid of all of the time that I spent with my grandmother. These memories are something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am betting that your grandchildren will have such amazing memories with you on this trip that someday they will be telling someone all about it and how much they loved spending this time with you just as I am telling you now about my memories!

    You are unable to link a Disney Gift Card to MagicBands at this time. However what we do is link a Credit Card to our MagicBands and on the last evening of our vacation take our Gift Cards to the front desk to have them apply them to our account. One of the things you could ask is if they are able to put a spending cap on the grandchildren’s accounts so that they don’t go over a certain amount of money!
