Hello. I will be traveling soon and served in the U.S. Navy, I have my DD 214 discharge papers. Do I also go to Shades of Green resort to purchase discount tickets?

    Hi Lisa,

First off, let me say congratulations on your retirement! As a fellow service member, I salute you and your time in grade. I know you'll have an amazing time at Walt Disney World in celebration.

Yes, you can purchase your Armed Forces Salute discounted tickets at the Shades of Green Resort with proper military identification. Your DD 214 counts as identification, but if you have your military ID, that would work as well. You can also purchase tickets at any Walt Disney World guest relations location and ticketing window, even at Downtown Disney and the water parks. If you choose to buy your tickets within the Walt Disney World Resort, you will be subject to sales tax. There will be no sales tax if you purchase at Shades of Green Resort.

If you need any more help or have more questions about planning your Disney vacation, please feel free to ask at any time. I'm always here to help.
