    I am traveling very soon (June 21-27) with my family to WDW. We are a family of 6 and I am not really sure how to handle going on rides. It is my husband, me and 4 kids (4,5,6,7). I'm worried that we will be seperated to ride and my kids won't go on alone.

    Hey, Kristalyn! I, too, am a mother of four children, and we've been to WDW with all of them at various ages. I certainly understand your dilemma, and hopefully, I can provide you with some advice and insight that may put your mind at ease.

    The great thing about Walt Disney's parks is that one of his goals was to keep the family together. Therefore, you will find that for many attractions all of you will be able to stay together or at least make things work for the majority of those in your family.

    I suggest sitting down with park maps and circling a few attractions that are on your not-to-miss list. For children the ages of yours, you may want to focus on attractions such as those in Fantasyland at the MK. For most of those, you will be able to ride three (or more)  to a seat. Our family used to claim "riding buddies" which we decided once we were in the parks and knew how everyone would handle getting on and off the rides. For attractions where there were only two riders per car (like Buzz Lightyear), we let Dad and the youngest go first. Then, we put the two oldest kids together in a car with Mom and the next youngest in the last car. We could very easily keep an eye on each other, and it wasn't difficult to load and unload.

    If you happen to be like us and have thrill-seeking daredevils, my husband and I used to take turns using the Rider Swap option available. I sometimes would even opt out of the Rider Swap altogether and let the big ones ride twice so that I could take the little ones for some ice cream.

    I think that you are going to be pleasantly surprised with how easy it will be for the entire family to have a wonderful time together. I sure hope that I've eased your concern. Have a beautiful day and a magical vacation!
