Hi Anita. Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I know you must be getting excited for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Walt Disney World Resort provides a host of services to help all Guests maximize their Resort experience. Services include: Advanced Ticket Purchase, Stroller and Wheelchair Rental, Rider Switch, Accessing Attractions, Break Areas, Companion Restrooms, and Dietary Accommodations.
The accommodation you are specifically asking about is the
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS allows your son, and those in your traveling party, to schedule a later return time for an attraction. Once you schedule your return time, you can enjoy yourselves around the theme park and then return at the appropriate time and enjoy a shortened wait time. Once you have redeemed your active return time, you can then set up a new return time. Plus, you can use this service in conjunction with the Disney
FastPass+ Service. You can find a complete list of locations where you can use the DAS (as well as other invaluable information) in the
Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities found online within the
Services for Guests with Autism and Cognitive Disabilities information.
Be sure you review and download the DAS information as well, as it will walk you through the step by step registration process. After you have reviewed all of the available information, if you have any further questions, you can contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com. The amazing Cast Members will provide you further details to help your son have a safe and magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort.
