Hey there, hi there, ho there Geri! Welcome to planDisney, thanks for stopping by with your question. I'm thrilled to help! Looks like you're gearing up for a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort. I'm sure you are counting down the days until you're at the Most Magical Place On Earth!
Geri, the first thing to note: although you can request connecting rooms (with an interior door that connect the two rooms) or adjoining rooms (two rooms that are close to each other) at most Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Though Cast Members will do their best to accommodate guests requests, the availability of adjoining or connecting rooms isn’t always guaranteed.
Whether you have booked your Walt Disney vacation already or have yet to do so, I would suggest calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and having a Cast Member assist with getting a room in the same building as your son. When speaking with the Cast Member, I would request that your rooms be adjoining or connecting. If you are unable to call, you can always book your room then either call at a later date or use this
helpful online email form to add the request for connecting/adjoining rooms to your reservation (be sure to have all reservations numbers handy so that the Cast Member assisting you can access your information more easily.)
I hope this information helps you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Geri! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. We'll see ya real soon!
