I will be traveling solo to Disney World this August and wondering, will I be able to make advanced dinner reservations for a party of 1? I especially don't want to miss out on Be Our Guest!

    Hello Katie,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! Solo trips to Walt Disney World are so much fun. You really get the chance to stop whenever you want to soak in all of the magic.

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that Walt Disney World invites you to make a reservation for one at any restaurant, including Be Our Guest! If you've never been to the Beast's Castle, you are truly going to feel as though you've stepped right into the movie. The Grand Ballroom is gorgeous, although a bit noisy. My favorite place to dine is the West Wing.

Even for one person, you'll still need some luck and a little pixie dust to book a reservation at this popular restaurant. Make sure you are online, ready to book your reservation at about 5:45 AM Eastern Standard Time, 60 days prior to the day you are visiting Magic Kingdom, or 60 days before your resort check-in day if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel.

If you are staying for several days, there are several great restaurants where you may be able to get a spot at the bar without even having to make a reservation: Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge, California Grill Lounge, and Tune-In Lounge are a few of my favorites. This also might be a great trip to try to get a reservation for Space 220 Lounge at EPCOT. The menu is limited, but view is not!

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
