Hi Terri! Spending the holidays at
Walt Disney World Resort with several people sounds practically perfect in every way!
I think it's a great idea to consider one of the
Disney Dining Plans when traveling with a large party as it helps with budgeting. However, it really depends on the dining preferences of all of the Guests. Do you have multiple families with different room reservations? Do you all enjoy the same type of restaurant (Quick Service vs. Table Service)? Will you all be dining together for all meals?
We have vacationed at Walt Disney World Resort with and without a dining plan. While this will take a few moments to do, it's a fun task so I have a recommendation for you. Once you have tentatively planned out your days, take a look at the menus for the restaurants where you feel you may dine. Look at the items you think you and your traveling party might select and price it out. Think about snacks and the refillable mugs as well. Once you have looked at options for two to three days of your vacation, it should become clear as to whether or not a dining plan is a good fit for your vacation plans.
If you decide to add a Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package, you have three great options! With each dining plan option, each Guest ages three and over will also receive a refillable drink mug. The mugs are eligible for refills at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at your Disney Resort hotel. Guests ages three to nine must order from a children's menu where available. Plus, as part of the Disney Dining Plans, Guests 21 and older can also enjoy specialty beverages where offered. This includes one single serving mixed drink cocktail, beer or wine.
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes two quick-service meals and two snacks per night during your length of stay.
Disney Dining Plan includes one quick-service meal, one table-service meal, and two snacks.
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan includes three meals and two snacks.
The dining options at Walt Disney World Resort are amazing!!! You are going to have such a fun time planning your vacation! Bon appetite!
Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let me know if you need any other information as you plan your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
