Hello Mariana, and welcome to planDisney! I'm a mom of two little Mouseketeers, and we visited often when my youngest was two years old. I have some ideas that may help you plan the perfect visit!
Mariana, the first thing you'll want to do is
explore attractions on the Disneyland website or use the
Disneyland mobile app. You can filter for attractions by age and height. Here are some rides my kids loved at two years old: it's a small world, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Jungle Cruise, Dumbo, King Arthur Carrousel, and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
We love
Mickey's Toontown. There are interactive elements, a clubhouse, and colorful roller slides at Goofy's How-To-Play Yard, which is for Guests ages 2-12. And Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is a "must-do" attraction. My youngest was two the first time she went on it and was in awe of the colorful, immersive scenes.
Leave time in the day to meet Characters throughout the park. Bring an autograph book so your daughter can get signatures with each encounter. The Royal Hall is a great place to meet Disney Princesses.
Are you spending time in
California Adventure? There is plenty to enjoy, including meeting superheroes at Avengers Campus, exploring Cars Land, joining an interactive dance party at Disney Theater, and more. Jumping Jellyfish, Jessie's Critter Carousel, the Golden Zephyr, the Little Mermaid, Monsters, Inc., and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree are all great options. My youngest's favorite ride has been
WEB SLINGERS since she was two.
And I have some spookily fun news:
Halloween Time will be underway at the Disneyland Resort when you visit in September! You will enjoy seasonal entertainment, festively dressed Characters, spirited decorations, and more.
Mariana, pick up a Family Adventure Map once you enter the park's front gates. It's an amazing guide that has recently been introduced at the Disneyland Resort. You'll find a list of attractions perfect for little ones with information about what to expect, such as if there are drops, if it is dark, and more. There is also a list of kid-favorite foods, other helpful information for parents, and a beautifully illustrated map that invites kids to find hidden objects.
Here are a few tips from one mom to another:
- Take breaks to rest and snack. The Disneyland Railroad is a great way to see the park while resting your feet.
- There is a Baby Care Center at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. with toddler-size toilets, changing tables, and a vending machine with essentials available to purchase like sunscreen and over-the-counter medicine.
- Mobile ordering food is a time saver – we like Pizza Planet.
Mariana, I hope you have a fantastic visit to the Disneyland Resort this fall. If you have any other questions in advance of your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
