We are traveling from Richmond VA to Orlando in the Fall. What city is a good halfway point for spending the night? We want to only drive about 7 hours the first day and have maybe 4-5 hours traveling time on the day of arrival. Thanks. Looking forward to

I would suggest the Pooler, Georgia area off of I-95 South.

Exit 109 is north of Pooler but has some good hotel choices. This area is also known as Savannah North.

Exit 104 is near the Savannah airport so you'll find some more "upscale" hotel choices than your standard off highway options.

Exit 102 has more hotel choices some of which will be less expensive than those at the above exits mentioned.

This should help split your drive into an approximately 7 hour and 5 hour segments.

    Travel safely!
