Hi, Ashley-Ann! Thanks for stopping by with your question. I’m excited to help you create unforgettable moments and magical memories with your family.
One of the things I absolutely love about a Disney Cruise is the chance to explore new destinations! While I haven’t personally visited Progreso, Mexico, I have sailed all over the world with my son. I’m happy to share how I selected our Port Adventures, especially when he was little.
Besides checking the recommended age range, I always pay attention to the duration when
researching excursions. Half-day activities, or ones lasting around 4-5 hours, seem to be the perfect length for my family. I also like knowing how long it will take to reach the destination. If you expand the activity’s description, you'll find details about transportation and travel time. Some excursions are farther from the port—like the tour to
Chichen Itza, which is over two hours away by bus. When we stopped in Cozumel, we explored something closer to the port. We decided to visit the Mayan archaeological site during a return trip to Mexico when my son was slightly older. Disney Port Adventures are designed with families in mind. I’m confident that whichever one you choose, you’ll all have a fantastic time!
Speaking of having a blast on your cruise, I checked out your itinerary, and it looks like you’re in for two nights of fun! Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party is scheduled for Friday, and you’ll get to enjoy
Pirate Night on Saturday. Make sure you have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded so you can quickly access the entertainment schedule once you board the ship.
I hope your adventure at sea is merry and bright! If you need any assistance, just steer your sleigh our way. My friends and I are happy to lend a helping hand!
SEAS the adventure!
