We are traveling w/ party of 12 (2 suites @ AOA). How will it work at meals so we make sure we are using the right dining credits for ea person & paying for our own gratuity? Will they split checks at most restaurants? Gratuity is automatic at all our

    Hi Beth,

Wow!  Having two suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort sounds like so much fun!

When you use your Disney Dining Plan credits you will find that they are attached to each room, not to specific people within the room.  Anyone in the room may use the credits associated with that room at any time between check-in and midnight on your day of departure.  When you pay for your bill at a restaurant, simply instruct the server as to how many credits should be deducted from each account.  I'm sure the server would split the check between the two parties if you prefer.  They've done that for me many times.  That will make paying your gratuity easier.  You are correct that a gratuity will be added automatically to both checks since your total group is larger than six guests.

Let us know if you have any other questions about using the Disney Dining Plan.  I have always appreciated how flexible and cost effective the Disney Dining Plan is.

Best wishes to you on your upcoming trip!
