    Hello. Traveling w/ another party, but staying @ different resorts. Should we make separate dining reservation in case the other party can't make it? If we make reservations for 7 people and only 4 show up, is that a problem? We all have the Dining Plan.

    Hi, Erika!   I would suggest you book just one reservation.   Otherwise, you may not be seated together at your meals.    When dining together, the bill can be separated so you can each use your dining plan credits and tip accordingly.

    If only 4 show up for a reservation made for 7, that is not a problem.   However, bringing 7 if a reservation is for 4 would be much more difficult!   You will not be charged if your entire party does not show up unless it is for a dining experience in which you needed to secure the reservation with a deposit (Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Cinderella's Royal Table, etc.)   When booking your reservation, the cast member will let you know about deposits and cancellation times for these special dining experiences.   

    As a courtesy, if you do know ahead of time that you will not be making it to a dining reservation or your party size will be less that planned, call (407)WDW-DINE or from your room phone to let them know of the change so other guests can be seated.
