We are traveling with a party of 9 in our family for my nephew's 10th birthday. We would like to eat at the Trattoria and they show availability but won't set for a party of 9. Can someone help please.

Welcome to planDisney, Cherish! I'm so glad to have received your question and I hope we can get you some answers so you can get back to all the fun awaiting you at Disneyland Resort next month!

A big family celebration for a 10th birthday at Disneyland Resort? That sounds like the BEST DAY EVER! I think you've made a wise choice in dining locations because I often find Wine Country Trattoria to be quite accommodating to larger travel parties. Typically, if I'm unable to find dining reservation availability for the exact size of my party, I will often look to make two smaller party reservations at or around the same time. In your case, you could make a reservation for 5 Guests and a separate reservation for 4 Guests within 15 minutes or so of one another. Then, you'd need to check in early for your dining reservation and kindly ask the Cast Member if they can seat your two reservations together for a party of 9. It isn't guaranteed, but I find the Cast Members extremely helpful and they will usually find a solution to seat you together or near each other.

Now, Cherish, one thing I need to mention is that the dining reservation system will not allow one Guest to hold conflicting dining reservations. So, if you opt to use the strategy I suggested, you'll need to find another person in your travel party to make the second dining reservation.

Finally, since you are celebrating a very special birthday, I hope you'll make time to stop at a merchandise location or Guest Relations location and pick up a complimentary celebration button for the birthday boy and all the members of your family. It's a lovely way to announce that you're celebrating something special, and I always find that it attracts some extra pixie dust and lots of happy wishes from Cast Members and Guests, alike!

I hope this is helpful, Cherish. If we can answer any other questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to come by planDisney again. We love sharing our personal advice to help you make the most magical memories imaginable!

    Magic awaits,
