If we are traveling with a part of 7 but a family of 4 have seperate reservations and 3 have their own room and both families each have the same dining plan and plan to eat together will be both be required to pay 18% gratuity.

    Hi Betty!

This is a great question.  If you are all eating together at the same table with one server, then the answer is "yes".  However, if you just happen to be in the same restaurant and not sitting together then obviously the answer is "no".  A large party is more work for the Cast Member and he or she deserves a nice gratuity for the excellent service typically provided at Walt Disney World.

Be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) for the Table Service restaurants you are interested in.  ADRs can be made up to 180 days in advance and I highly recommend making them as far out in advance as possible, especially for the very popular restaurants!

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
