Hey there, Ana! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh my goodness! Do my eyes deceive me, or am I reading that you’ll be traveling with two very special Mouseketeers to The Most Magical Place on Earth during Christmas?
Oh my garland, how exciting! I’m happy to hear that you’ll be checking into Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. I just stayed there myself last month. Your little ones are going to love the Calypso Pool with its colorful, fun fountain featuring three of my favorite ducks: Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito!
Okay, Ana, there’s no time to waste because your vacation starts TOMORROW! Let’s get all your "Donald Ducks" in a row because the
quack of dawn will be here before we know it!
A visit to Magic Kingdom is a must! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is
scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day of your visit. Your little ones will get to wave to Mickey, Minnie, Olaf, Chip, Dale, Woody, and Buzz, all dressed in their holiday best! In the evenings, my personal favorite holiday offering—Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks—will light up the sky each night at 8:30 p.m.
At EPCOT, you’ll want to enjoy the
Festival of the Holidays! Your kiddos can meet Santa Goofy, sample delicious treats from the Holiday Kitchens, have some fun with Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt, and take part in my family’s favorite tradition: the Holiday Cookie Stroll!
Ana, my best holiday tip is to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the evening after the sun goes down. I had the most magical holiday experience there just a few nights ago. I absolutely loved seeing the glowing bioluminescent lights of Pandora at night, but witnessing the
Tree of Life Awakenings—Holiday Edition was truly more magical in person than I can describe. The enchanting fireflies illuminate the Tree of Life with winter scenes and sparkling magic you have to see to believe. This show runs only for a short time after sunset, so be sure to check the schedule before your visit.
Now that I’ve shared my family’s “must-see” holiday offerings, I’m happy to give you my top tips to help your trip run smoothly:
- Since the holiday season is one of the busiest times of year, allow extra time to travel between parks.
- Make the most of your
My Disney Experience app and all its helpful features, including
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, checking wait times, and finding appearance times and locations for your favorite characters, which helped us meet everyone on our list.
- Check the
Activities Schedule at your Resort hotel for fun ways to take a break from the parks and enjoy everything your hotel has to offer. From scavenger hunts and arts & crafts to campfires and movies under the stars, you’ll discover magic everywhere!
Ana, I hope this information helps, and I’m wishing on a Christmas star that you and your loved ones have the most wonderful holiday vacation! It’s been my absolute pleasure to chat with you!
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, Ana!
