We are traveling with my parents and our two children, ages 1 and 4. We have a party of 6, including the 1 year old. For some of the ADRs, I was only able to get reservations for 5. Will we be okay? He can sit on our laps, but we prefer a high chair.

    Hi Holly!

Congratulations on your magical gathering coming up!  I think taking a family vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth with your parents and children is one of best memories you can give to your children.

For Advanced Dining Reservations all people need to be counted on the reservation.  This does include little ones who may not even need a seat.  The reason is because of fire code laws.  There are strict occupancy limits that are controlled by regulatory agencies, not Disney.  So unfortunately there isn't much wiggle room if you show up for a reservation and the restaurant is operating at near capacity

My advice is to call the Disney Dining Reservations phone number listed in this link and request to have one more person added to the reservations that only list you as a party of 5.  I would sincerely hate for you to be turned away, or have to wait a long time for a table, at a restaurant due to fire code ordinances.  By catching this early hopefully you can amend your reservations before arrival.  But don't worry, adding another person to your reservation will not alter your charge.  You won't be charged for food and drink for your 1 year old if he/she wants to share your meal.  At buffets Cast Members will even bring him/her their own drink at no charge. (Good time to fill up the sippy cup!)

Thank you for taking time to ask your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel Holly.  If you have any more questions for me or any of the other "Moms" please just submit another question.  We love to help plan MAGICAL Disney vacations!

    Blessings,
