We're so happy to have you visit with us! Your Disney trip is just around the corner! I know you're counting down the days!
Not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can seem little confusing, but no worries, we're here to help you!
If you have access to a car, driving to your Disney destination is the easiest with your little one. If you won't have access to a car you can take Uber or Lyft from where you're staying. I've used both of these car service companies when we've stayed on and off property. They both have vehicles available equipped with car seats so that you don't have to travel within the city of Orlando with your personal car seat. Once you arrive on Disney property, your little one won't need a car seat. Each mode of transportation at Walt Disney World permits families to hold little ones in their lap, as the buses, boats, and Monorail cannot strap a car seat in safely. I always feel safe when riding Disney transportation with my little.
Minnie Vans provided through Lyft can be reserved with car seats too. This particular service is only available while on Disney property.
If you have the car seat/stroller combo for a smaller child, bring that along with you. Strollers are allowed on Disney transportation too. Just know that most of the boats require you to fold the stroller before boarding.
Currently, Disney does not have a storage area at the parks to secure personal belongings as large as a car seat.
Katie, I sure hope this helps you. If you come up with more questions, please stop by and visit with us again soon!
