Hello Carolina, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel.

There are lots of Disney Character Dining experiences to enjoy at Walt Disney World and all guests are welcome to visit and make reservations at these restaurants.
Each restaurant features their own theme, Disney characters and dinning buffets.

Although there is no special celebration at these restaurants, most Disney Cast Members will be happy to help you celebrate the occasion and share a personal cake for the birthday boy.  If lucky you might also get a postcard with the characters signatures and wishes.

Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular character dining experiences and is located at the Contemporary Resort - within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom.  Here your son will get to meet and greet Mickey and his friends, all dressed up as chefs.

My personal favorites are The Crystal Palace, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and 'Ohana.

During your stay make sure that your son wears a Birthday Celebration Button, so that Disney Cast Members can share the occasion and add more magic to the celebration.

Glad to help you plan a magical celebration at Walt Disney World.
Hope to hear again from you.
