If traveling from one resort to another, or one park to resort, etc... for a meal, how much time should i give transportation? This is the 1st time I have planned a vacation here and am not sure how long I should allow to make dining reservations on time.

Hi Emily - it really does depend on exactly where you are traveling to and from.  I generally use an hour to an hour and a half as a rule of thumb, but you should talk to your resort concierge when you arrive to see if they have specific instructions.  Here are a few factors to keep in mind:

    • Unless you can walk or take a monorail, traveling from one resort to another will require you to transfer buses at a theme park
    • When traveling to a park for a dining reservation, keep in mind that you'll have to enter the park and walk to the restaurant.  This is an important thing to keep in mind at Epcot, where the walk through the World Showcase, from one end to the other, is 1.2 miles.
    • Waiting for a bus can take anywhere from one second to a half hour.  They run continuously, but not on a set schedule, so it's hard to predict exactly how long it will take.
Good luck, and have a great vacation!
